We received Arlen's "Become a Better Speaker in One Evening" Series and have truly enjoyed it. Arlen has an incredible gift of being able to clearly lead a person to more effectively communicate to an audience. He has broken things down into very manageable, understandable points that ANYONE can use. We are a homeschool family, and our kids regularly practice public speaking in our homeschool group. We watched the video as a family, and our kids (12, 9, and 7) were able to understand what Arlen said and apply his techniques to their own speaking opportunities. My very astute daughter pointed out, "Mommy, he is DOING what he is teaching us to do!" This came after his segment on "tell a story, make a point." Indeed, Arlen models good speaking in his video.I highly recommend this video series for anyone interested in improving their public speaking skills!

Arlen's video system is top notch for folks wanting to a) either improve their speaking skills or b) get started with their very first speech. Arlen breaks down the sometimes daunting task of organizing and composing a speech and makes the task of giving a speech far less arduous.
Personally, I found the way Arlen uniquely illustrates organizing a speech to be most helpful. Sometimes, if you are asked to do TV, Radio or cover a specific topic, you just don't know where to start or feel you don't have enough time. Arlen guides you along taking you through his steps making sure you get the speaking process right.
